Frequently Asked Questions

Based on the emails we receive, along with comments on our survey, here are the most frequently asked questions.  If you have have a question not covered below, please contact us at info@hommemystere.com.au

Q 1. Please use a real person for your pics.  Why use a mannequin?

A. We began with the mannequin (fondly known as Stan Dinstill) when starting our business.  As you would have noticed, we are beginning to use a 'real' person for our pics on some of our later releases.  If you're in Brisbane, Australia and interested in doing a few photos, feel free to contact us.....

Q 2. The Shipping costs for International Orders are not clear

A. It costs AUD$10 per order for deliveries anywhere around the world outside of Australia.

Q 3. What if I am not happy with my purchase?  Can I return the garments?

A. Yes. Let us know the problem before you return the garments.  We will replace the item or provide a full refund at your instruction.

Q 4. Why should I buy from you?

A. We have been involved in lingerie cross dressing for over 25 years.  We provide a personal service with advice on sizing, fit, shipping and more as requested.  Our garments are designed to ensure a perfect fit for your bodyshape.  You have 'peace of mind' money back guarantee on all our garments.  We respect you as a customer, but more importantly, as an individual that chooses us to provide you with the best quality lingerie on the market. 

Q 5. I am worried about confidentiality when ordering

A. We send your order in a plain padded envelope without any references to HommeMystere on the packaging.  We do include a copy of the invoice INSIDE the envelope.  However the sender is listed as our personal names and address.

Q 6. You are so far away.  I'm not sure about ordering from Australia.

A. Contrary to popular belief, we are connected to the rest of the world and do not have to dodge kangaroos in the streets (in the cities anyway!). Seventy percent of our orders are from overseas, with the bulk of those coming from the United States.  So far we haven't had any problems getting orders to our customers.

Q 7. There doesn't seem to be tracking on my order.

A. We cannot see the point in spending a fortune on postage therefore we ship by standard airmail to overseas destinations.  Orders over AUD$150 are sent registed mail and can be tracked.  We are looking at alternative options for tracking, though prefer you to hand over your hard earned money to us - not the postal services.

Q 8. Your prices do not show in my currency

A. Yes, we know and unfortunately we cannot do anything about it with our current shopping cart.  Luckily for you the exchange rate is generally very good for our customers with the $US about the same as the Aussie dollar.  Our European and English customers are getting a bargain based on the Pound Sterling and the Euro. Update! We have added a currency converter to the store.  You can now view prices in $USD, GBP and EUR.  If you wish to view prices in another currency, please let us know.

Q 9. Your sizes are not small enough / large enough for me

A. We try and cater to as broad a range of customers as possible, however it's impossible for us to have everything in every size.  Based on the submissions in our survey, we try and cover from 28 inch to 50 inch measurements.  We are conservative in our sizes so if you not sure, send us an email with your measurements and we can see what we can do! 

Q 10. You should cater to your gay customers as well

A. We provide our lingerie for guys.  We are not concerned if you are gay, straight, vegetarian, republican, anglican, martian or any other persuasion.  We just make lingerie style garments for the male physique! 

Q 11. I'm just browsing your store and I do not understand why men would want to wear lingerie?

A. Because lingerie is sexy.  Feels great, looks great, adds excitement to your life, gives you a thrill when dressing in lingerie.  The same reasons women love lingerie!

Q 12. I would like to see more choice

A. Us too!  We are working on it but it does take time from idea to manufacture.

Q 13. You should get your products to the US for distribution

A. Yes, we would like that too so if you know someone...

Q 14. How do you decide what you are going to make next?

A. We regularly read the survey results and look at what's popular and what isn't.  Then the design process usually starts with a conversation like 'Wouldn't it be cool if...." and we're on our way.
